Video reveals chaos on Frontier jet after passenger claims bomb onboard

Unruly Passenger Causes Panic on Frontier Airlines Flight

An alarming incident occurred on a Frontier Airlines flight, causing widespread panic among passengers and crew. The event unfolded on Sunday afternoon when a French-speaking passenger made a verbal bomb threat during the flight from Columbus, Ohio, to Atlanta.

The incident took place as the aircraft was taxiing to land. Although the identity of the individual has not been disclosed, the FBI confirmed that the situation prompted immediate action. As a precaution, the plane was moved to a remote area, and police boarded the aircraft to deplane the passengers.

Social media platforms were flooded with videos capturing the tense moment. One video showed flight attendants instructing the disruptive passenger to return to his seat. Another clip zoomed in on the man, who appeared to be causing chaos. He was seen wearing a hat and glasses while another crew member attempted to speak with him.

Jessica Kinder, a passenger on the flight, shared her experience with WSB-TV2. She described how the flight attendants became visibly panicked. “The flight attendants started saying, ‘Heads down, hands up, heads down, hands up,’” she recalled. According to Kinder, the rowdy passenger was shouting profanities at the crew while exchanging texts with a man seated behind her.

“The messages were in French, so I couldn’t understand them,” she added. The exchange of voice messages between the two individuals raised further concerns among the passengers.

Another video captured the aftermath of the incident. Passengers were seen exiting the aircraft, with their bags and suitcases lined up along a remote road. They then walked toward a bus that transported them to the terminal.

Atlanta police confirmed that the FBI has taken the lead in the investigation. In a statement, the FBI assured the public that there is no ongoing threat related to the incident. They also mentioned that no decision has been made regarding potential charges against the passenger.

“FBI Georgia responded, along with Atlanta Police, this afternoon after a flight from Columbus to Atlanta was disrupted by an unruly passenger,” the statement read. “All passengers and crew were taken off the aircraft. The FBI can assure the traveling public there is no continuing threat related to this incident.”

The FBI and Atlanta Police are currently conducting interviews to gather more information. They will consult with the Attorney’s Office to determine if federal charges will be filed.

Frontier Airlines acknowledged the incident, confirming that a verbal bomb threat was made as the plane was rolling toward the Atlanta gate. The airline also stated that all passengers were safely deplaned after cooperating with local police.
