Man Arrested After Car Strikes Multiple Pedestrians in Derby City Centre
A serious incident unfolded in Derby’s city centre on Saturday evening, resulting in multiple people being struck by a vehicle and several sustaining serious injuries. Authorities have since arrested a man in connection with the event.
The incident occurred around 9:30 PM in the Friar Gate area of Derby. Emergency services, including paramedics, were quickly on the scene to treat those injured. Some individuals suffered severe injuries and were transported to hospital for further medical attention.

Shortly after the collision, police managed to stop a black Suzuki Swift believed to be involved. The driver, a man in his 30s, was taken into custody.
